Israeli troops clash with Palestinians protesting Balfour Declaration centenary

Palestinians protesting the centennial of the Balfour Declaration clash with Israeli troops in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, according to reports in Palestinian media.

According to Maan News, the protesters marched from the southern to the northern end of the city where they hung an effigy of Lord Balfour, beating and throwing shoes at it.

Israeli forces break up the protest using rubber bullets and tear gas.
