Man with explosives takes hostage in Australia

Australian media reports a man believed to be strapped with explosives is holding another man hostage in the city of Bunbury, in Western Australia.

Police have responded to the scene, ABC news reports.

Bunbury is the third-largest city in Western Australia, about 180 kilometers south of Perth.

Australia, which is part of the coalition fighting the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, has dealt with a number of terror incidents over the past year, including a Sydney cafe siege that left two people and a gunman dead.
