Ministries add French to hotlines for immigrants
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUn signe de l’epoque: As of the beginning of the month, the Health Ministry and Immigrant Absorption Ministries added French to their Health Hotline and Medical Translation Hotline, respectively, in addition to existing languages Hebrew, English, Russian, Arabic and Amharic.
The move aims to facilitate the experience of new immigrants from France.
Israel has seen an uptick in the arrival of French immigrants following a year in which the country was hit by several terror attack, not all of them targeted against Jews. The Jewish state expects this summer to mark a record in the number of French immigrants arriving.
