Netanyahu says he supports reduction of quarantine time to 7 days
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAt the coronavirus cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he supports the reduction of quarantine periods to seven days, after the matter is proposed by Interior Minister Aryeh Deri.
Quarantine for those suspect of potentially contracting the virus now stands at 14 days, but starting tomorrow will be shortened to 12 days.
Also at the meeting, Health Minister Yuli Edelstein complains that though the cabinet has approved raising fines for those who violate health restrictions, the matter has stalled in the Knesset.
“We’re simply hurting ourselves,” he says.
