Obama outlines meeting agenda

Obama says he will discuss defense aid to the Jewish state with Netanyahu, as well as the Syrian civil war and the Islamic State’s gains in the region. He says the two will discuss the Iran nuclear deal.

The president says they will discuss rising violence in Israel and the West Bank, which has seen near-daily stabbings and car-ramming attacks.

“A lot of work to do, with too little time,” he says.

He also offers condolences to Israel over the death of former president Yitzhak Navon.
