Oren says Schabas appointment ‘born in sin’

Kulanu party candidate Michael Oren reacts to the resignation of William Schabas from UN human rights panel: “The appointment of Schabas was born in sin, and his resignation is a necessary and commendable step. The sheer choice of a man who served as a legal adviser to the PLO and called Netanyahu and Peres ‘war criminals’ is a statement unto itself regarding the biased agenda by which the Human Rights Council operates.
“The time has come for the international community to begin dealing with the serious war crimes and injustice in Gaza – caused not by Israel but by Hamas – Hamas which holds its people hostage cynically and endangers human life.”
