PM: Arab peace plan must change in order to be viable

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will not agree to the current formulation of the Arab Peace Initiative as the basis for the peace process with the Palestinians.

The prime minister makes the comments at a meeting of Likud ministers, Haaretz reports, citing two sources present at the time.

“If the Arab states understand that they need to amend the Arab Peace Initiative in line with the changes that Israel demands, then we will have something to discuss,” Netanyahu says.
