Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemns yesterday’s attempted assassination attempt against former US president Donald Trump, declaring at the beginning of his cabinet’s weekly meeting in Jerusalem that the shooting was “not only a heinous crime [but] also an attempt to assassinate American democracy.”

“Fortunately, Trump miraculously survived,” Netanyahu continues, wishing him a speedy recovery “in my name, in the name of my wife Sarah, in the name of the ministers of the Israeli government, and in the name of the entire people of Israel.”
