Report: Nursing homes to be overseen by new government body
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleChannel 12 reports that a unified body subject to direct cabinet control and not to the ministries of health and welfare will be set up to handle the coronavirus crisis in elderly-living facilities as part of a plan formed by Ichilov Medical Center’s Director-General Prof. Ronni Gamzu.
The plan to handle the situation in elderly-living facilities, where some 40 percent of coronavirus deaths in Israel have occurred, also includes an expanded role for the IDF Home Front Command, which will provide training, assistance and equipment.
