Saudi king Salman to Trump: We’re ‘confronting scourge’ of terror
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleSaudi King Salman hails “deep and friendly relations” between Saudi Arabia and the US, and lauds the “historic, unprecedented summit that is being held in a time of extreme danger.”
The leaders from 55 Muslim and Arab countries are in the hall, Salman says.
Choosing Saudi Arabia for first foreign destination confirms “the interests of your country.”
Says Saudis are “confronting” terrorism, “this scourge that poses a danger to all of humanity.”
Adds that Saudis are “taking vigorous steps to realize a true partnership with a friendly United States in a way that serves our common interests and contributes to achieving peace and development for all of humanity.”
