Sheikh ordered held in jail until Thursday

An Israeli court has ordered firebrand Sheikh Raed Salah to be kept in custody until Thursday, as prosecutors say they are preparing charges against him.

Salah, head of the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement, was arrested last week on suspicion of incitement to violence and supporting the outlawed organization he heads.

According to reports, prosecutors have filed a preliminary indictment, indicating they plan to charge Salah soon.
