Turkish attache summoned by Russian defense officials
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIn a sign of further deteriorating ties between Moscow and Ankara, Turkish Daily Hurriyet reports that Turkey’s defense attache in Moscow has been summoned to the Russian Defense Ministry.
Minutes earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin branded the downing by Turkey of a Russian warplane on the Syrian border “a stab in the back committed by accomplices of terrorists.”
“I cannot call what happened today anything else,” he said at a meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah.
