We seek a genuine diplomatic solution, Netanyahu says

Netanyahu tells Hammond the Vienna deal gives the Iranians “two paths to a bomb”: if they cheat, and if they keep their side of the deal and wait out 10 years until they can ramp activity back up.

Netanyahu denies Israelis are gunning for a war, but says they do fear a regime that calls for their annihilation.

“Israelis know better than anyone else the cost of permanent conflict with Iran and it is wrong to suggest that Israel wants such an outcome. we seek a genuine and effective diplomatic solution,” he says. “But Israelis also know exactly what would happen if we ever let our guard down. The result of that would be truly permanent.”
