Ya’alon meeting with Lapid
Former defense minister Moshe Ya’alon is hosting Yesh Atid leader MK Yair Lapid in his Tel Aviv office for a meeting, The Times of Israel learns.
Ya’alon, a former IDF chief of staff and Likud MK, quit political life earlier this year over a falling out with Prime Minister Netanyahu, but declared his intention to run in the next election and to “lead the country.”
Lapid has repeatedly indicated his wish for Ya’alon and other former military figures to join his centrist party.
