Man shot dead in Ramle in suspected murder

2nd man lightly wounded in shooting; no arrests yet

A man was shot dead late Friday in the central city of Ramle, in a suspected murder.

Two people arrived with gunshot wounds at Shamir Medical Center near Tel Aviv, where doctors pronounced one of them dead. The other was lightly wounded.

The shooting victim had yet to be identified.

Police opened an investigation after scouring the scene of the shooting. Officers took testimony from the second man who was shot, according to the Ynet news site.

No arrests have been made so far.
