A Palestinian was killed during a clash with Israeli forces in the West Bank early Tuesday, Palestinian official media and a medical source said.

Mohammad Habali, 22, was shot when Israeli forces carried out an overnight raid in the city of Tulkarem in the northern West Bank, official Palestinian news agency Wafa said.

A medical source said Habali was hit in the head.

The Israeli army said it was looking into the incident.

Troops routinely carry out raids in the West Bank looking for weapons and terror suspects.
