Shots were fired Tuesday at an Israeli bus traveling through the northern West Bank, causing no injuries, the army said.
The military said the attack happened along a road near the Palestinian village of Yabad, west of Jenin.
“IDF troops are searching the area,” the army said.
The shooting came as the Hamas terrorist group declared Friday “a day of rage” to protest US President Donald Trump’s intention to move the US embassy to Jerusalem.
The Gaza-based terror group called for confrontations with Israel after Friday prayers.

Defense officials are reportedly bracing for violent protests and terror attacks should the Trump administration recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
The Israel Police, the Shin Bet security service, and the IDF’s Central Command have held meetings in recent days to review possible scenarios in the event Trump follows through on his reported intention to change America’s policy on the capital, the Hebrew daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported Tuesday.
