Three small children were burned in a fire that tore through a home in the Bedouin town of Hura in the south Thursday.

A baby and a toddler were in serious condition with burn wounds. Another toddler who was also injured in the blaze was hospitalized in moderate condition. Their ages were not immediately clear.

All three also suffered smoke inhalation, according to Soroka Medical Center, where they were being treated.

Magen David Adom paramedics took the three to Soroka in nearby Beersheba, they said, after relatives pulled the children out of the burning home.

The children’s mother, who is in her twenties, was lightly hurt from smoke inhalation in the blaze.

Medics said she was in emotional shock.

Firefighters from Beersheba put out the blaze and launched an investigation to determine its cause.
