Construction of the security fence along the southern border with Egypt resumed on Tuesday, one day after terrorist infiltrators attacked a convoy of construction workers, resulting in the death of 36-year-old Haifa resident Said Fashapshe.

Officials said that work had resumed at 100 sites along the border.

Brigadier General Eran Ofir, who oversees the fence construction, said that after consulting with contractors the decision was made to continue construction and finish the fence as quickly as possible, despite the continued threat.
