Three people were lightly injured on Monday morning in an explosion at a Jerusalem gas station that occurred as a fuel tanker was refilling storage tanks.

The explosion on Shivtei Israel Street also damaged the gas station shop, Israel Radio reported.

There was no other damage to the station or the surrounding neighborhood.

Magen David Adom ambulance crews evacuated the injured people from the scene.

It was not clear what caused the explosion.
