A burnt human corpse was found Thursday morning at a park in southeast Tel Aviv, police said.
There were no immediate identifying signs on the body, police said.
The statement said officers were on the scene at Menachem Begin Park, investigating the circumstances of the incident.
Two weeks ago, a man’s body was found in Tel Aviv’s Yarkon River, with police saying an initial investigation revealed no suspicion of foul play.
A passerby saw the body in the river and alerted authorities, who took it out of the water.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service said the man, in his 20s, was found with no vital signs and that medics declared him dead.
