A former contestant on reality TV show “Big Brother” has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a post office at gunpoint earlier this week, getting away with thousands of shekels.

Zvi Portal participated in the fourth season of the Israeli version of the show in 2012.

According to suspicions, Portal arrived at a post office in Rishon Lezion on Monday and threatened a teller at gunpoint, making off with several thousand shekels in cash.

He was arrested on Thursday and taken in for questioning. On Friday, his remand was extended by four days.

Portal’s lawyer Binyamin Ben Natan has said that Portal denies the allegations.
