Former White House strategist Steve Bannon will speak at the Zionist Organization of America conference in November, The Atlantic reports.
Bannon, who was also invited to the ZOA’s conference last year but failed to appear, returned to the right-wing Breitbart website after leaving the White House.
“Steve is one of the best friends that Israel has had in any administration,” says external political and policy adviser to the ZOA Arthur Shwartz. “We’re honored that he accepted our invitation.”
Morton Klein, the president of the ZOA, says: “All I can tell you is Steve Bannon is going to be at the dinner.”
US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, Sen. Tom Cotton, and Joe Lieberman are also scheduled to attend, the report said.
Bannon may introduce casino mogul Sheldon Adelson at the event, according to The Atlantic.
Help us report truthfully on social media
As a multimedia journalist, my job is to take the quality, fact-based journalism produced by The Times of Israel newsroom and make it accessible across every platform — from Instagram posts to podcasts to short-form videos.
This is how many, especially young people, consume news these days. But misinformation is rampant on social media. Our team at ToI produces accurate, responsible short-form reporting on Israel and the Jewish world.
If you believe in the importance of factual social media journalism, please consider joining our reader support group, The Times of Israel Community. Your financial support is essential to sustain responsible multimedia reporting.
