IDF names suspect in August terror attack

Three Palestinians were arrested for an attack in which a soldier was moderately wounded two months ago.

Asad Ibrahim Salah Asad (18) and two minors from the Aida refugee camp hurled an improvised explosive device at an IDF post on August 19, near Beit Jala.

They were arrested the same day in a joint operation of the IDF, Shin Bet security service and Israel Police. Their arrest has only been made public today.

During their investigation, the perpetrators confessed to committing the attack. They also admitted to participating in additional terror activities, such as the manufacturing and hurling of IEDs. The findings of the investigation have been submitted to the Military Prosecutor in Judea, in order to issue indictments against the terrorists.
