The IDF raised its level of alert along the Sinai border after a terror attack in northwestern Sinai left at least 20 Egyptian soldiers dead, with some reports claiming as many as 64 dead.
An Egyptian paper meanwhile tweets that reports saying the city of Sheikh Zuweid has fallen into the hands of Ansar Beit al Maqdis, a terror group that pledged allegiance to Islamic State, are incorrect:
