Joint List wages internal war over Hanin Zoabi

Fellow members of Hanin Zoabi’s Joint (Arab) List faction are at war with the controversial MK as they seek to oust her from a senior internal position.

Channel 10 reports that senior figures within the faction, which comprises three separate parties united to overcome a strict Knesset threshold, want Zoabi to step down as head of its committee against violence in the Arab community, on the grounds that her many controversies make her a divisive figure when working with the local authorities.

But, the report says, Zoabi refuses to step down and accuses faction leaders of “dancing to Netanyahu’s tune.”
