Jordan spokesman confirms 3 dead, 6 wounded
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIn the first official statement on the Jordan shooting, a government spokesman says a Jordanian policeman opened fire Monday on foreign trainers at a police compound, killing two Americans and a South African before being shot dead.
Mohammed Momani tells the state news agency Petra that two Americans and four Jordanians were wounded in Monday’s shooting at the police training center on the outskirts of the Jordanian capital, adding that one of the wounded is in critical condition.
Momani portrays the shooting as a crime and says an investigation has been launched.
The US Embassy has no immediate comment.
