Government ministers approve granting another 15,000 permits for West Bank Palestinians to work in the Israeli construction sector.

“This is an important step that will strengthen the Palestinian and Israeli economies and our shared interests,” Defense Minister Benny Gantz tweets.

The move comes amid calls by some Israeli officials to boost the Palestinian Authority’s struggling economy.
