Report: Within days, US military may be forced to start conserving interceptors

The US military is potentially “days away” from being forced to start conserving its air defenses amid constant Iranian attacks on American assets in the Middle East, The Washington Post reports, citing three unnamed people familiar with the matter.

However, top US military officials have publicly argued otherwise. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Dan Caine said in a briefing that “we have sufficient precision munitions for the task at hand, both on the offense and defense.”

The report says the US military has used hundreds of advanced THAAD interceptors.
