Shalit deal prisoner linked to Hamas cell

Ahmad Najar, a Hamas member, is one of the West Bank terrorists in custody.

Najar was freed from Israeli prison as part of the prisoner swap for IDF soldier Gilad Shalit in 2011, according to the Ynet news website. He was jailed in 2003 for his involvement in a shooting attack in which six Israelis were killed. At the time, Najar was also accused of providing funding to the terror group.
