UNRWA official shuts Twitter account after backing ‘Apartheid Week’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA spokesperson for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees UNRWA shuts down her Twitter account after a backlash over her post in support of “Israeli Apartheid Week,” the UN Watch group says.
The watchdog NGO calls on US envoy to the UN Samantha Power to speak out “over continued anti-Israeli incitement from UNRWA” following the tweet from Laila Mokhiber, who represents the agency’s US branch.
