A man’s body was found in Tel Aviv’s Yarkon River on Wednesday morning, with police saying an initial investigation revealed no suspicion of homicide.

Police forces were continuing the investigation, stressing that all options were still being examined.

A passerby saw the body and alerted authorities, who took it out of the water.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said the man, in his 20s, was found with no vital signs and that medics declared him dead.

Staff for the ZAKA search and rescue group arrived to help identify the body and prepare it for burial.
