A 64-year-old man was lightly hurt Sunday when he was stabbed in the neck at a Dead Sea beach in an apparent dispute.

Police said the incident at the Hamei Zohar beach was not terror-related. However, it was not immediately clear what the motivation was for the attack on the beach which is next to a series of  luxury hotels.

Police were searching for the attacker, who fled the scene.

The victim, who was not identified, was initially said to be in a serious condition. He was airlifted by helicopter to the Soroka Medical Center in the southern city of Beersheba, which said he was admitted to the emergency room and his condition  had been upgraded to “lightly wounded.”
