Two killed in apparent homicide in Golan Heights
Gunman opens fire at men in parked vehicle in the Druze village of Mas’ade, then flees scene
Two men were shot to death Saturday in the northern Golan Heights Druze village of Mas’ade, in what police believe to be a criminal assassination.
According to an initial investigation, the two men, both in their forties, were seated with several other men in a parked car as another vehicle pulled up near them. At that point, a gunman opened fire at the parked car from within the second vehicle, severely wounding the two men. The second car then fled the scene.
A medical team that arrived at the scene was unable to resuscitate the men, and pronounced their death a short while later.
Police cordoned off the area and launched a widespread search for the perpetrators of the attack, as well as the vehicle from which the two men were shot at, Channel 10 reported.
