Woman arrested after partner found dead in Netanya apartment

Man found with injuries to upper body, believed dead for several days before being found by paramedics

Police on Tuesday arrested a woman suspected of involvement in the murder of her partner, after he was found dead in their home in the coastal city of Netanya.

Magen David Adom paramedics arrived at the couple’s apartment to find the 56-year-old man with no signs of life and pronounced him dead.

According to the Ynet news site, the man was found with injuries to his upper body, and there were signs that he’d been dead for a few days.

Police opened a murder investigation and arrested the man’s partner, a resident of Netanya, on suspicion of involvement.

Police said they will request an extension of the suspect’s reman from the Netanya Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, and will also ask that she undergo a psychological evaluation.

Earlier Tuesday, a man was arrested on suspicion of murder after his wife was found dead in their burning apartment in the central city of Rehovot.

The suspect was badly hurt and his children were lightly injured in the blaze. They were taken to Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot for treatment.
