Shamir’s daughter’s home burgled during funeral
Thieves steal jewelry and other valuables from Gilada Diamant’s home while former prime minister is being laid to rest

Burglars struck the home of Gilada Diamant, the daughter of Yitzhak Shamir, during funeral services for the former prime minister on Monday.
While Diamant and other family members attended the burial of the 96-year-old former statesman at the Mount Herzl cemetery in Jerusalem, thieves broke into Diamant’s home in Ramat Aviv, an upscale suburb north of Tel Aviv, and stole jewelry and other valuables.
