Two Israeli soldiers were killed and 10 others were injured in a traffic accident Tuesday, when a truck hit three military vehicles on the central Route 6.

The truck driver, an East Jerusalem resident, is believed to have lost control of the vehicle before veering into the convoy of off-road vehicles as it traveled east of Netanya.

The soldiers were on their way south after completing training exercises in the country’s north.

Police and the IDF have said they will investigate the circumstances of the incident.
