After manhunt, police arrest man suspected of killing his brother

After a manhunt of several hours, police on Monday arrested a man suspected of having killed his brother by stabbing him dozens of times following an argument.
Argao Asars, 32, was caught by police at his home in the coastal city of Netanya. Media reports said he had a history of psychological illness.
The search for Asars began earlier in the day after his brother, a serving IDF soldier, was found stabbed to death in his home in the Netanya-area town of Kfar Yona.
The victim, 18, was discovered by his mother, who alerted emergency services. He reportedly had five sisters in addition to his brother, the suspect in his murder.
Magen David Adom paramedics who arrived at the apaartment on Sharet Street were unable to resuscitate the victim, who had multiple stab wounds all over his body. Medics declared him dead at the scene.
Police began searching for Asars, who had been at the family home, but apparently left some time after the victim was stabbed.
Investigators believe the stabbing may have resulted from an argument between the two brothers.
In an unusual move, police published a photo of Asars and asked for anyone with information regarding his location to immediately contact police.
Israeli media said the victim had joined the army some two months ago.
According to the Hebrew-language Ynet website, Asars had in the past been charged with attacking his sisters, but was found to be unfit to stand trial. At the time, he was hospitalized in a psychiatric clinic.
