Authors Foer, Krauss have been separated for a year

Award-winning Jewish authors Jonathan Safran Foer and Nicole Krauss are legally separated.

The couple “split amicably about a year ago,” a book representative told the New York Post’s Page Six on Wednesday. They were married in 2004 and have two children.

Foer is the author of “Everything Is Illuminated,” “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” and “Eating Animals,” and editor and publisher of “The New American Hagaddah.” Krauss wrote “The History of Love” and her most recent, “Great House.”

They put their home in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Park Slope up for sale last year for $14.5 million; it still has not sold.

Foer and Krauss are living in separate homes in another Brooklyn neighborhood.

“[They] have chosen to live in close proximity in order to raise their children,” the book representative told the newspaper.
