Depeche Mode, the legendary British synth-pop band, will perform in Israel next year.

On Monday, Channel 10 reported that Depeche Mode will perform in May 2013 at Tel Aviv’s Park Hayarkon, in a concert produced by promoter Shuki Weiss, who is behind many of the top international musical act’s performances in Israel.

It will be the band’s second visit to Israel, having previously played for 50,000 fans in Ramat Gan Stadium in 2009. A 2006 show was cancelled two days before its scheduled date due to the outbreak of the Second Lebanon War.

Some of the band’s notable songs include “People Are People,” “Enjoy the Silence,” and — as mentioned in this article’s overline — “Blasphemous Rumors.”
