Love American folk? So do Tamar and Netanel Amar, a married singing duo performing songs from their new album on Thursday at Jerusalem’s Confederation House.

In fact, most of their songs are about love, all kinds of it, from their own to free love, love of nature, love of music as well as faith and hope.

Both Tamar and Netanel were raised in Jerusalem in families who were fans of classic American folk music, but they were at different phases of their musical careers when they met.

Tamar was in the midst of performing and promoting her debut album when she met Netanel Amar, who composed music only to stick it in the proverbial bottom drawer.

In 2015, after the two had married, they released their first joint album, “Peace of Mind,” with 10 songs — nine in English and one in Hebrew, with both classic and modern sounds echoing the music of Simon and Garfunkel, John Denver and James Taylor as well as John Mayer and Idan Raichel.

The pair has performed at the annual Jacob’s Ladder Festival, as well as throughout Israel.

Tamar&Netanel, Thursday, April 20, 8:30 p.m., NIS 75 per ticket online at Bimot.
