12 ultra-Orthodox draft-dodgers arrested after clashing with Jerusalem police
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUltra-Orthodox draft-dodgers clash with police outside an IDF recruitment office in Jerusalem, in the latest demonstration by fringe religious groups against mandatory military service.
Dozens of protesters blocked Rashi Street in the capital, and threw eggs and rocks at police officers attempting to disperse the demonstration.
A statement from police says 12 protesters were arrested and “public order has been restored, and all roads have been opened to traffic.”
