From 302 people died in road accidents this year — lowest number since 2013
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleData from the National Road Safety Authority shows 302 people died in road accidents in 2020, the lowest number since 2013, and lower by 53 than the toll in 2019.
It is part of a general trend of decline in recent years, but is also believed to have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and its many restrictions, which have confined people to their homes for lengthy periods.
