Blue and White source claims White House helping PM delay immunity talks

A source in the Blue and White party tells Haaretz the White House is attempting to help Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu postpone immunity deliberations through its reported unveiling of the peace plan next week.

The Knesset is set to convene on Tuesday to vote on setting up a House Committee to deliberate Netanyahu’s request for immunity in three criminal cases — the same day Netanyahu and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz will reportedly be invited to Washington for the plan’s release.

The source says the party has no plans to delay the Knesset discussions.

Over the past year the White House is widely believed to have taken action on several occasions to assist Netanyahu’s reelection prospects.
