Cabinet approves Amona deal
Government ministers have voted unanimously to okay the deal with Amona residents to move them onto a nearby plot of land and start construction of new homes, Channel 2 reports.
In a statement, Yesha settlers council official Oded Revivi praises the Amona settlers for taking the deal.
“I was very happy to hear that the people of Amona were able to reach a compromise that will avoid unnecessary conflict between brothers,” he says. “I feel the pain of each and every family being uprooted from their homes after two decades. Clearly this isn’t an easy situation for anyone involved and I hope that we will be able to avoid such incidents in the future.”
