Erdan says Ghattas only kept out of jail by immunity
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePublic Security Minister Gilad Erdan says in light of the Ghattas probe, he will redouble efforts to ban prison visits by Knesset members.
“These visits include a real fear of harm to the state’s security and I will fight to end them,” he says.
He also says Ghattas is only not in prison because of his parliamentary immunity.
“The suspicions against MK Ghattas are extremely severe and if he weren’t a Knesset member, it seems he would be in jail over the suspicions,” he says.
