Herzog says separating from Palestinians ‘is only choice’

During his Knesset speech, following Netanyahu, opposition leader Isaac Herzog says separating from the Palestinians is mandatory.

“We have no other choice,” he says. What the right is offering “is Masada,” referring to the historic mass suicide by Jews who were besieged by the Romans.

Herzog lashes out at the right, saying that if he were prime minister, the right would be holding protests.

“You will not teach me about patriotism,” he says, adding “that we are all fighting terrorism,” but he will never consider “joining this failed government.”
