IDF launches manhunt for Palestinians involved in West Bank shooting clash

The Israeli military says it has launched a manhunt for several Palestinians involved in the deadly shooting incident near the West Bank village of Tell.

According to the IDF, troops were dispatched to an area adjacent to Tell after Israeli settlers reported being attacked while “hiking” there.

“Subsequently, terrorists stole the weapon of the [civilian] security coordinator who had arrived at the scene, and opened fire at the Israeli civilians,” the army says.

Magen David Adom says that one Israeli man in his 30s was shot dead and at least two others were injured by gunfire, including a man in his 20s in serious condition and a man aged 25 in moderate condition.

The Palestinian Authority’s health ministry reported that four Palestinians were killed and four others were wounded in the shooting.

“Additional IDF troops were dispatched to the scene and are conducting a manhunt for the terrorists and setting up roadblocks in the area,” the military says, adding that it has imposed a closure on Tell and Nablus.

It was not immediately clear if settlers or soldiers fired at the Palestinians.
