Jewish extremist Meir Ettinger goes on hunger strike
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleJewish Israeli extremist Meir Ettinger is on hunger strike over being held in administrative detention since August.
Ettinger, the grandson of the slain far-right activist Meir Kahane, was arrested on August 3 and placed in detention on August 15 for his alleged “involvement in violent activities and terrorist attacks … and his role as part of a Jewish terrorist group.”
Shin Bet officials say Ettinger heads a movement that also is responsible for the June arson of the historic Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes, and which seeks to bring down the government and replace it with a Jewish theocracy.
