US Jewish groups announce a protest against The New York Times on Thursday.
The protest is focused on a column published Monday that accused Israeli forces of widespread rape of Palestinian inmates.
Israeli authorities denounced the widely-criticized report as libelous, noting that it relied on sources that have alleged ties to the Hamas terror group or have praised it.
The protest is organized by the activist groups EndJewHatred, Stop Antizionism, Hineni and the Movement Against Antizionism.
The latter three are relatively new organizations, established in the aftermath of the Gaza war and ensuing surge in anti-Jewish discrimination in the US, with the rally marking an early foray for the groups into organized protests.
“Join us to rally and let NYT know they must stop the antizionist libels! Enough is enough!” the organizers say.
